Cermes
The municipality of Tscherms is situated in the Burggrafenamt on the orthographically right-hand side of the Etschtal valley on the south-western edge of the Merano valley basin. The village centre is located at 292 m above sea level at the foot of the slope to the east under the ridge of the Vigiljoch. The highest point of the municipality is on the Vigiljoch, or more precisely on the Larchbichl at 1837m. To the east it extends across the valley floor to the Adige river. In addition to the local tourist information office, our small community also offers a bakery, a small supermarket, a pharmacy, a bank branch, a hairdresser's, a patisserie with café, a village café with homemade ice cream and a playground. There are also several bus stops, various restaurants and a few small shops.
Lebenberg Castle
Lebenberg Castle is one of the largest completely furnished castle complexes in South Tyrol and is surrounded by a rococo ornamental garden that is atypical for this region. A guided tour is a must, even with children. A large collection of weapons and furniture paired with a fantastic view. You can park your car directly in front of the castle.
Cermes Waalweg path
The Cermes Waalweg path is the southern end of the Marlinger Waalweg. If you start in Oberlana, the Tschermser Waalweg can be perfectly formed into a circular hiking trail via Lebenberg Castle along the sunny wine merchants.
